Better Than Water

I have been experiencing some water issues at my house lately. The problem has revolved around the pump that gets the water from the well into the house. Last night, we suddenly lost pressure and were, once again, without water. So many things are taken for granted. You really don’t realize how important water is until you lose it.

Being without water is extremely frustrating! There are so many things that you cannot do without water. Thankfully, we live in a country that we can access drinking water or else the situation could easily be more worrisome.

As I struggled to get ready for school in the morning, my thoughts were filled with frustration and a desire to figure out a solution. I wanted nothing more than to restore running water in the house.

Consider Psalm 63:1-2…

“O God, thou are my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

What a rebuke! I honestly cannot say the last time I was as frustrated by not spending time with God as I was about this water issue. The psalmist experienced a relationship with God that, I believe, most that call themselves “Christians” rarely experience. We are more concerned with things of this life when we ought to be desiring something far better.

Take time to be refreshed by God and His Word as you face the trials of life by consistently…

Walking in Him!

  2. This – Mom too! God’s well will never run dry – we just forget to draw from it daily🤬 Great reminder, son.
