To be honest, I’m beginning this blog partially on a whim. I have had a desire to share my thoughts and experiences for quite some time but never took the time to start. I’m on the verge of my life changing quite a bit so there really doesn’t seem to be a better time than now.
I’m Matt George. Some may know me as a teacher at a small Christian school. Some know me as the farm boy from Pennsylvania who went off to college in Wisconsin and landed in Maryland. Others may remember me as a camp counselor, college recruiter, student, and, hopefully, a friend. The Lord has led me on an incredible journey that I can’t wait to share with all of you who have yet to know me.
This site will be my chance for sharing what the Lord has taught me through the years. I also plan on sharing things that take place in my current experiences. For instance, my school just announced (January 22, 2018) that I will be the new administrator starting next year. I’ll share more about that soon, but there is so much that went into that decision and continues to go into it that I’m sure many can relate to, be encouraged by, and possibly even challenged.
I want to conclude by explaining the name of the site (“Walking In Him”). While in high school, I selected Colossians 2:6 as my life verse: “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.” This is my constant goal. I want to live each day with a forward progression in my relationship with God. That may not make a lot of sense now, but keep following this journey and I promise it will soon.
